Dad was always a kind hard working man who was knew how to and was always doing lots of skills jobs round the house from plumbing electrical,and woodworking to his job plastering ( which) when he thought it was really amusing to put his plaster hands on me to leave his hand print ) sure it was just to annoy me xx his talent was endless with love Linda xx

I have always been proud to call you my Popa. You were a quite man except when you laughed. Your laugh was something that started in the belly and travelled all the way to your eyes. And when you sneezed. Once you sneezed so loud I dropped the large mirror that I had been polishing on to the mantlepiece where a very large amount of antiques,where being housed. Needless to say every single one of them broke. Boy was I in trouble with Mum. But you just laughed. I miss you. You were able to mend anything, build anything and. You always had a solution for complex issue surrounding building works. I loved to hear you singing, especially in church. You had an incredible voice, I like to think that my singing voice comes from you. Thank you for that particular gift. There are a thousand things that I could say, but I will leave some of the amazing things to say at your celebration ceremony of life on the 18th. Love you Popa. Always ♥️ 💚

my papa, with the biggest grin, loudest sneeze, and all through my childhood the darkest, thickest mop of hair, taught me DIY skills that i am still using,[and passing to my children] never forget him asking Chatun for spanners, and couldn`t believe when the 2 year old was bringing the correct one,[Micky was giving him them] spent his weekends on the touchline when his boys were playing football, and he got the biggest shock off his life when i rode past him on a horse, and rowed past him down the Witham river, the blooming parrot biting his elbow and being pleased with herself when asked what she had done, `i bite him`and him laughing his head off when we put the enclosed motor home awning up, HIDING HIS CAR IN IT!, he had the biggest grin going home from one of his many trips to hospital in `the big car`he had never been in a Rolls Royce, glad we got to give you that memory papa xx will love you forever and always Anita and Kieth xx

My lasting memory of you Pete will be your sense of humour and that cheeky glint in your eye. You were a lovely man and will be missed by all that knew you. God Bless you on your journey home 🙏
